Bregenz Festival - "A Masked Ball".

Verdi's A Masked Ball, directed by Richard Jones and Antony MacDonald, was produced in 1999 on the Lake for the first time in the history of the Bregenz Festival. The opera, which unites antitheses like Dance and Death, was staged so spectacularly at Bregenz that pictures of it went round the world in the summer of 1999.
