Not checking status updates won't hurt you. But breast cancer can, and might even kill you. In the time you spend online, you can easily do a breast self-examination instead. Learn how to perform one at bcf.org.sg

Amnesty International - Kiss Against Homophobia

0 commenti
A kiss between two people is the most intimate form of contact that perfectly symbolizes their commitment to one another. Collect 365 kisses, one for each day of the year, by the International Coming Out Day 2014 (October 11), demonstrating that love is a fundamental human right regardless of gender.

The purpose of the free kiss initiative is to remind us of this even after the end of Budapest Pride Week.

Give a kiss for equality if you want to kiss homophobia and transphobia good-bye!

UNICEF - Making the invisible visible

0 commenti
Children who are victims of domestic violence wait with a sinking heart their parents to come home in the evening.
This UNICEF billboard literally throws light (and shadow) on this problem. As the evening comes and the street lights go on, a small silhouette casts on the billboard the shadow of the oppressor.

Domestos - #Toilets4all

0 commenti
Having to go to the toilet in the open is an issue that is faced by over a third of the world's population, mainly in developing countries.
To raise awareness of this issue we created a special toilet with one way glass.
You couldn't see in. But you could see out.
Then we put it in Piccadilly Circus for the public to use. It got some interesting reactions.

TAC - Ungiven Gifts #ungivengifts

0 commenti

The heartache of facing Christmas following the loss of a friend or family member on the roads is the focus of “Ungiven Gifts”, a touching installation of 209 Christmas gifts that will never given. Behind each of these gifts is a heartbreaking story of a life lost and of loved ones whose Christmas is ruined.

The Ungiven Gifts installation, launched by Victoria’s Transport Accident Commission (TAC) will be in the State Library forecourt until Wednesday. Visitors can leave either a commitment to safe driving or a tribute to a loved one on the Christmas tree, or on Facebook.

Body Evolution - Disclaimer for airbrushed models

0 commenti

"We all now know that seeing thousands of "perfect" body types in the mass media is having negative affects on young girls and more. Airbrushing as a practice should be discouraged when it transforms otherwise permanent features on models. A "mandatory disclaimer" to state that a model has had her physical body manipulated on a computer is a very simple step in the right direction to addressing the harm that we're causing."

Wooden Shark Coffins by BY HANDSOME WONG

0 commenti
This social awareness campaign is meant to emphasize the mass killings of sharks: over 73 million of the species are killed every year just for bowls of soup. Their fins - which only make up 2% of their total weight - are brutally sliced off and the rest is tossed back into the ocean.
The campaign was done in collaboration with IFAW, one of china’s most prominent animal welfare organizations.
